http://www.zoneedit.com/ use a dynamic dns service, dyndns or host your own. The only thing that gets a little annoying is that you have to login, manually or auto through a router or software once a month or so. On your router it is called ddns. This will automatically update the record.
To do this, redirect your domain to the name created for the dynamic dns service. Then have your dynamic dns service point to your IP.
Have you looked at your name provider? You would be surprise at how often they actually have free dns(godaddy,...). Then in the end, switch who owns your name, I like go daddy; it is very cheap for the name and they have excellent dns options.

GoDaddy all the way. They just work, shame about the ammount of adverts while signing up for a domain... but you can ignore them. After all you only see the adverts when your registering.

I have been very happy with GoDaddy. You can get year registration for $8.95. DealMac has a <a href="http://dealmac.com/deals/Go-Daddy-com-1-off-domain-names-renewals-more/92821.html?ref=rss_dealmac_20" title="DealMac" rel="nofollow">post</a> that list coupon code that gives and additional $1 off.
