The idea is to tackle the high SMS costs in Australia and offer 5 free SMS initially and cheap SMS for life. It will be about 4 Dollar for 250 SMS. Just straight forward. No hidden charges or costs.

• It makes it rather hard to actually send a text message, as it makes you add a person to your address book first.
• It doesn’t actually send a text message through, but instead sends a pointer message, which then requires a web browser, or sending a text message to a number, 191188, which costs more money. Even then, the web browser requires a donation of 50c through PayPal.
• It is extremely insecure. I can tell, for instance, that the next person after me to send an SMS through this service was le messi, and if I weren’t so cheap, I could read that message.

Clearly, this is an attempt at someone to make a serious profit out of clueless people. Since it costs them to send SMS’s, I’m going to keep sending them to myself, and not actually use the 19-number, or Paypal. I wonder if I can put them out of business on my own. I’m rather persistent…

Oh, and there shouldn’t be an apostrophe in Aussies, in this context, as it’s plural. I’m a bit anal like that.

I just found another Free SMS website for Auzzie’s… it’s at http://australia.sms-txt.co.uk - Pretty neat!
