The UK is interesting in that there are 'public footpaths' and subways all over, yet pedestrians have no right of way like in the US. Crosswalks are more rare here than they should be and due to skinny 'old-world' road systems, sidewalks are barely adequate at best in some areas. And forget about anything being handicapped friendly... Wow- what a mess!
