		<description>Nah, my issue was most definitely with the DHCP server not serving addresses properly.  I've since changed to an alternate router/DHCP server (in this case the Airport Extreme) which hands off IP addresses fine.

And, as a further test, my Windows VM gets an address when I sit here in Illy, sorry UneCaffeBar using free Internode internet (to download the 10.4.10 Combo Updater).</description>

Probably not your issue since it seems pretty specific to something I was doing, but I thought I'd mention it since it may not be anyone's first thought (it sure as hell wasn't mine).</description>
