My god what a freaking loser you are. You are supposed to be a "programmer", and you can't figure out Vista???

Holy shit.

Lemme school you little bit..

I run Vista Ultimate on a custom AMD 64 3000+ with 2 Gigs Ram, and a 320 gig HD. Dualt Hauppage tuners plus a fucking EYETV, you moron, which I was able to easily integrate into the system using common computer sense.

Let's see what else runs perfectly fucking well at the same time on this so-called piece of shit OS..

Onboard 5.1 audio, plus an external Soundblaster 5.1 device, a USB DRM shortwave receiver, two USB wireless network devices, a serial controlled wideband receiver, a serial HF transceiver interface, one DVI display, one VGA and one composite, IR remote and Gyro keyboard/mouse, and just to piss you off, a Logitech Orbit.

It all works fine.

You are retarded, and so is every other schmucky reject who constantly complains and states shit like "Vista scared me to Linux". That is insanely stupid, since Linux is a piece of shit OS designed for people who beat off to Britney videos and dring a case of Red Bull a night while they try to compile shit and make their mouse work consistently.

Grow up.

I also own a 24" iMac, and the motherfucker boots to, you guessed it... VISTA ULTIMATE. I run Leopard just for Parallels so I can muck around iwth severl XP builds.

STFU and learn to operate a PC.

Hi,

Interesting articles on your site... pleasurable to read and you are a very competent programmer!

However, I find your comments on Windows Media Center in Vista rather bemusing; having used it extensively myself with dual tuners (not being a particular Windows 'fanboy'), I not only have no issues with it, but can find no examples of the 'inconsistent behaviour of the green start orb', or of double click and single click inconsistencies; in line with remote control usage specs, all actions are performed with a single click. As for not extracting program data from DVB feeds; sure that is a complaint, but in the UK (and I think the US to a large extent) we don't have tv-data on the feed. These are two of the largest markets and so it makes sense to target them.

Anyway... keep up the good work, I just thought that someone should step in on the defense of WMC... it is flawed but in my opinion is far better than any of the other options both for it's completeness, ease of use and pleasant visuals,

EyeTV can load QuickTime files, too. But not from the 10-foot menu.

Maybe when <a href="http://schinckel.net/2008/01/14/eyetv-3/" rel="nofollow">EyeTV 3</a> comes out...

I hate Vista - my little foray into it was enough to scare me to Linux.

Great article.
