Blogsome Templates
Posted early in the morning, filed under Blogsome , General , Smarty Templates.Say you find a Blogsome site, with a template you really like. You ask the author for the data, but they don’t reply to you.
Never fear. You can always get the data from a Template, as this data is world-readable:
- http://schinckel.blogsome.com/templates/index.html
- http://schinckel.blogsome.com/templates/wp-layout.css
- http://schinckel.blogsome.com/templates/post.html
- http://schinckel.blogsome.com/templates/comments.html
You may need to right-click and Save As…, or view source to see them properly.
Obviously, for blogs other than mine, replace schinckel with the relevant word…
I’m working on getting this so the source of the current templates can be viewed in another web page, but there are some issues with this. The iframe/object will only display the rendered value, and CSS files don’t display at all.

Just out of curiosity, Any plans for adding K2 blogsome anytime soon?

I haven’t thought that much about it. I may get time to do so in the next fortnight. I’ll even put it to the Admins to put some of my templates into the Themes section.

I’ve noticed my script is giving a wrong result on the Comment Time function.
Not sure if this is IE only, or in Firefox too.

Seems to be IE only giving the wrong result. Not sure why, and JavaScript in IE is notoriously hard to debug.
Oh well, something to do in the holidays, I guess.
